Are you Double Minded, too?

Sometimes I am double-minded.

I tell my kids that they are my treasures, yet I sometimes get irritated if they break some of my “valuables”.

Sometimes I am double-minded.

I tell my kids to call me anytime they need help, yet sometimes they get put on hold whenever there are “more pressing matters”.

double-mindedSometimes I am double-minded.

I tell my kids that I love hearing their thoughts, yet sometimes I tell them to keep quiet when they start having too many ideas.

Sometimes I am double-minded.

I tell my kids that they can tell me anything, yet sometimes I do not respond well when they start telling me something I do not like to hear.

Sometimes I am double-minded.

It’s a good thing that my kids are double-minded, too.

They tell me they love me over and over again.

They tell me they think I’m still their best mom– not once, but twice….or even more within the day.

They forgive me each time I mess up. Then they forgive me… again.

They understand that I am only human. Yet they appreciate me like I also have superpowers.

It’s a good thing my children are double-minded, too.
